2017 GRADUATION CEREMONY

Malawi College of Health Sciences is pleased to inform its graduating students and the general public that this year’s graduation ceremony will be held on Friday, 28th July, 2017 from 8:00 AM at Bingu International Conference Centre (BICC).

The Minister of Health Hon. Dr. Peter Kumpalume (MP) will preside over the Graduation Ceremony.
Certificates and Diplomas shall be awarded to graduands from the following programmes:

1. ZOMBA CAMPUS

  •       Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery Technician

2. BLANTYRE CAMPUS

  •      Certificate in Clinical Medicine
  •      Diploma in Clinical Medicine
  •        Diploma in Medical Rehabilitation Technitian
  •        Upgrading Diploma in Registered Nursing and Midwifery
  •      Upgrading Diploma in Clinical Medicine

3. LILONGWE CAMPUS

  •      Certificate in Clinical Medicine
  •      Certificate in Pharmacy
  •      Diploma in Clinical Medicine
  •      Diploma in Dental Therapy
  •      Diploma in Optometry
  •      Diploma in Clinical Ophthalmology
  •        Diploma in Anaesthesia
  •      Diploma in Pharmacy
  •      Diploma in Environmental Health
  •      Diploma in Biomedical Sciences
  •      Diploma in Radiography
  •      Diploma in Community Health Nursing
  •      Advanced Diploma in Clinical Ophthalmology

All graduating students are requested to report at Lilongwe Campus at 10:00 AM on 27th July, 2017 to hire academic gowns in readiness for dress rehearsals that will be held on the same day at BICC from 1:00 PM. Any student who misses or comes late to the dress rehearsals will graduate in absentia.


Academic dress for the graduation ceremony will be available for hire at K10, 000.00 each. Students who will not be able to come for the graduation ceremony should inform the office of the Registrar before 10th July, 2017 otherwise they will still be liable to pay for the cost of gowns. The academic dress should be returned immediately after the ceremony on 28th July, 2017. Any unreturned academic dress shall attract a penalty fee of K5,000.00 for each day of delay payable before the release of the certificate. Students who owe the college fees shall not be allowed to graduate. Graduating students will be allowed to invite one guardian/parent to attend the ceremony. In view of this, each graduating student will be given strictly one invitation card for the parent/guardian.
