MCHS Executive Director

Francis Panulo, PhD, serves as the Executive Director of the Malawi College of Health Sciences (MCHS), providing strategic leadership and overall direction for the institution’s management, growth, and development. In this role, he is responsible for ensuring that the College fulfills its mandate of delivering quality health sciences education, training competent healthcare professionals, and contributing meaningfully to national and regional health sector development.

As Executive Director, Panulo oversees the formulation and implementation of institutional policies, strategic plans, and operational frameworks designed to promote academic excellence, administrative efficiency, innovation, and sustainable growth. He provides leadership in governance and management matters, ensuring that the College operates in compliance with national education standards, regulatory requirements, and recognized best practices in higher education administration.

He works closely with the College Council, management, staff, students, and key stakeholders to strengthen institutional performance, expand academic opportunities, and enhance the College’s contribution to healthcare workforce development. Through his leadership, the College continues to advance its mission of producing skilled, ethical, and competent health professionals equipped to meet the evolving healthcare needs of Malawi and beyond.
