The Malawi College of Health Sciences upholds integrity as the bedrock of our institutional identity. Through the Institutional Integrity Committee (IIC), we champion ethical leadership, safeguard public trust, and ensure that every member of our community—students, faculty, and staff—operates within a framework of honesty and accountability.

Commitment to Ethical Conduct

Our Ethical Compass

Four fundamental principles guide every decision and action at MCHS:

Principled Leadership

Leading by example to inspire a culture where integrity is non-negotiable at every level of the institution.

Financial Stewardship

Ensuring every resource entrusted to us is managed with transparency, prudence, and accountability.

Equitable Treatment

Guaranteeing fairness in all academic and administrative processes regardless of position or background.

Zero Tolerance

Maintaining an unwavering stance against corruption, fraud, and any form of malpractice or misconduct.

The IIC Mandate

The Institutional Integrity Committee serves as the guardian of MCHS's ethical standards with five core responsibilities:

Policy Development

Crafting and continuously refining the College's Anti-Corruption Policy to meet emerging challenges and align with national standards.

Preventive Education

Conducting workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns to embed integrity into daily practice across all campuses.

Process Oversight

Reviewing procurement, recruitment, and financial systems to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.

Investigative Action

Receiving, assessing, and investigating reports of misconduct with impartiality and strict confidentiality.

Advisory Role

Providing recommendations to management on systemic improvements to prevent future breaches and strengthen governance.

Monitoring & Reporting

Tracking implementation of integrity initiatives and publishing regular reports on committee activities and outcomes.

Strategic Partnerships
