Programme Summary

The BSc in Public Health (Upgrading) is a weekend-delivered programme for health professionals with a certificate or diploma who wish to advance to degree level. Students build advanced skills in epidemiology, health promotion, health policy and programme management, positioning them to lead public health initiatives across Malawi.

Admission Criteria Requirements

Upgrading Entry at Year 2 (Weekend)

• MSCE/IGCSE or equivalent qualification with at least six credit passes including English, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry or Physical Science, plus any other two science subjects.
• A Certificate in any health-related field from a recognised institution with a minimum of two years of work experience.

Upgrading Entry at Year 3 (Weekend)

• MSCE/IGCSE or equivalent qualification with at least six credit passes including English, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry or Physical Science, plus any other two subjects.
• A Diploma in Public Health, Environmental Health, Nursing and Midwifery, or Clinical Medicine from a recognised institution with a minimum of two years of work experience.
