The Zomba Campus of Malawi College of Health Sciences is the oldest institution among the three campuses, with roots dating back to 1930. Located in Malawi's former capital city, the campus has a rich history of nursing education and continues to be a center of excellence for nursing and midwifery training.

The current campus structure was built in 1990 with support from the World Bank under the Population, Health and Nutrition (PHN) project. Nestled at the foot of Zomba Plateau, the campus provides a serene learning environment with modern facilities dedicated to nursing education and related health sciences.
